Abstract

Four pictures, taken by photographer John Collier for the U.S. Farm Security Administration (FSA) documentary photo project, are featured. In the spring of 1943 Collier was imbedded with lumberman working for the Brown Company during a pulpwood drive on the Kennebago River and captured the camaraderie and pride of the lumbermen of the time.
