Abstract
The article gives the background and an overview of Warren sculptor Jay Sawyer’s art. A former marine engineer, Sawyer creates his large-scale metal sculptures from scrap materials and found objects. Many of his works are on display at his studio, Stemwinder Sculpture Works & Gardens in Warren. His work is also on display at various locations throughout Maine and he has also delivered commissioned works to Baltimore and South Carolina. [images]
