Abstract

The founder of outdoor retailer Patagonia, Yvon Chouinard, moved away from the Androscoggin Valley when he was 8 years old. But he maintained ties to Maine, and years later, Patagonia helped Maine environmental groups get Augusta's Edwards Dam removed.
