Abstract

Essay on Phone Mart, the phone-in swap show the author hears on his local radio station, WKTJ. Describes the various kinds of calls that come into the show - firewood or vehicles for sale, offers to shovel snow, etc. The author muses on the meaning of this type of show in the age of social media, particularly in rural Maine.
