Abstract

Article describing the shops and work of cobblers Tom and Dick LaCasse. Dick owns LaCasse Cobbling Shop in Skowhegan, which he took over from their father. Tom owns Tom Finn Shoe Repair in downtown Augusta. Once ubiquitous. there are approximately half a dozen shoe repair shops remaining in Maine.
