Acadia National Park, with 30,000 acres, the only mountain range on the Eastern Seaboard and endless ocean views, attracts 2.4 million visitors each year, second only to Yellowstone National Park. The park's carriage roads, built by John D. Rockefeller Jr., finally began receiving $4 million in much needed repairs last year. Details.
