Abstract

"Needing Each Other." Fishermen and scientists share a history of conflict, but peace could be breaking out. Jim Acheson, the author of this article, is now convinced that the predictions of scientists are not based on the best information and that those of the fishermen are buttressed by far more than folklore. The 1979 escape vent law is an example of what should happen if they work together. Details.
