Abstract
North Haven artist John Wulp directed the play, "Islands," with its cast of North Haven islanders and arranged for its performance at the New Victory Theater in New York City. The show date turned out to be less than three weeks after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Lisa Shields, a member of the cast, writes about their ambivalence about going on with the show and the warm welcome the group received from New Yorkers.
