Brief history of George Putnam's involvement with Gorton's Seafood, the company founded by his grandfather in 1924. Chronicles some of the changes Gorton's experienced over the years, from owning its own fishing vessels to entering the growing frozen-food business as the company responded to changing conditions both in society and in the fishing industry.
