"Focus: building & real estate." The commercial real estate market, though better than it was a decade ago, shows mixed results. Residential real estate vacancy rates are about 5%, down from around 20% in the early 1990s, although a slowdown is expected. Properties stay on the market longer, but their rates continue to rise.
