Abstract

"Focus on Transportation" piece on the state's effort to expand passenger rail service beyond the Downeaster's Boston-to-Portland run and on to Rockland, by way of Freeport and Brunswick. The state owns the tracks between Brunswick and Rockland and has spent $30 million upgrading that line in recent years. The expanded service won't likely start until 2007 or 2008.
