Abstract

"Small Biz Voice" piece urging a "no" vote on Question One on the June 8 statewide ballot, noting that the proposal not only wouldn't lower property taxes, but would also leave the state with an enormous financial burden it cannot afford. Sponsored by the Maine Municipal Association, Question One would require the state to pay 55 percent of the cost of local public education.
