Abstract

"Focus on Western Maine" piece profiling Oxford Plains Speedway (OPS) and owner, Bill Ryan, 35, who purchased OPS in 2000, and has sought to build on it reputation by adding more races and more entertainment events. Founded in 1950, the track now employs 40 to 50 people during the summer season and has estimated 2003 revenues in the "Low single-digit millions."
