Abstract

"Focus on " Health Care piece with the views of two business owners, Brian Ketchen, co-owner of Dave's Appliances Inc. in Winthrop, and Nance Brown, co-owner of Windsor Chairmakers in Lincolnville, on the Dirigo Health Plan. Ketchen praises the state's attempt to step in and provide health insurance for small businesses and the self-employed and uninsured as insurance premiums keep rising. Brown is in favor of the plan in theory, but is skeptical of how it will work out in practice.
