Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on a new study on Maine's workforce that points to a decline in degrees conferred by Maine colleges and universities and a need for more residents receiving advanced degrees. Another concern is developing skilled technology workers. The average wage in industries losing jobs has been $33,529 a year, while the average wage in industries gaining jobs has been $27,290 a year.
