Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on the "bad check diversion program," pioneered by Cumberland County district attorney Stephanie Anderson. In lieu of going to court, offenders will attend an education program at their own expense and pay all bank fees and restitution to the merchant. The program also trains businesses to avoid bad checks. Anderson would like to take the program statewide.
