Abstract

"Focus on Building & Real Estate" piece listing developers working on large retail projects across Maine. These include: Newton, Mass.-based Packard Development and its proposed Augusta Crossing, Morrill's Corner residential and retail project in Portland, and The Shops at Biddeford Crossing projects, as well as the ongoing Maine Crossing in South Portland and the Pine Tree Plaza renovation in Portland; Chestnut Hill, Mass.-based S.R. Weiner and Associates & W/S Development Associates, and their proposed The Marketplace at Augusta expansion, unnamed Oxford and Bangor projects, and a Wal-Mart supercenter project in Ellsworth, along with the ongoing Biddeford Gateway Center, Lewiston Crossing, Westbrook Crossing, and Fairgrounds Marketplace in Skowhegan; Boston-based Great Island Development Group and its proposed Kennebunk Marketplace, Scarborough Gallery, and unnamed Sanford projects, and its existing Wal-Mart project in Falmouth; and Manchester, Conn.-based First Hartford Realty Corp., which has proposed an unnamed Presque Isle project and is working on the Bangor Parkade project.
