Abstract

"Focus: Health Care" piece on Inland Hospital in Waterville, with a focus on its recently implemented electronic medical records system. The system allows medical personnel to access patient records throughout the Eastern Maine Healthcare System. With an interview in question-and-answer format with Dr. Michael Palumbo, an emergency room physician and Inland's vice president of medical affairs; and Pamela Sprague, Inland's nursing administrator. Palumbo and Sprague discuss the changes the new system has brought.
