Abstract

"Focus on Greater Bangor" piece on a description by Heather McCarthy, executive director of the American Folk Festival on the Bangor Waterfront, on the festival, which follows on the three-year Bangor run of the National Folk Festival. This is the fourth year that the local organization has produced the festival, and each year public services have improved. A loyal audience has proved to be the best marketing tool, and the group continues to work with the National Folk Festival for some services. Repeat volunteers also help make the event a success. With details on funding and organization.
