Abstract

Alan Brigham, director of the Office of Business Development in the state Department of Economic and Community Development, is optimistic about state business growth. He says $1.5 billion in new investment, a 22% reduction in workers compensation rates, and streamlined permitting are among the accomplishments of Governor Angus King's administration. DECD also plans to collaborate with the Chamber of Commerce's Maine & Company to enlist new small businesses.
