Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece with a profile of Ari Solotoff, 26, the Portland Symphony Orchestra's new executive director, who succeeds 18-year veteran, Jane Hunter. The PSO is also searching for a new musical director to replace Toshiyuki Shimada, who left after 20 years in the position. Solotoff says the ongoing search and two other vacancies will give him an opportunity to help shape the vision of the orchestra.
