Abstract

Profile of Paul Coulombe and his company White Rock Distilleries, which in 1999 entered the high-end vodka market with Three Olives Vodka. Despite widespread speculation that the product would fail, White Rock expects to sell more than 1 million cases of the brand this year, accounting for nearly half of anticipated 2006 revenues of $160 million. Coulombe credits advertising, marketing, and packaging for the success of Three Olives and other stars in the company's line of 140 liquor products.
