Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece with a profile of Catherine Renault, the new director of Maine's Office of Innovation at the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD). Renault, who previously worked at a think tank in North Carolina, is already familiar with the state's R&D activity. She has been involved in the state's annual evaluation of public investment in research and development since 2000. Renault says her experience working in rural communities will serve her well in Maine.
