Abstract

Time-Warner cable television company will soon introduce its Roadrunner Internet service in the Portland area. Roadrunner will allow for vastly speedier computer connections and downloading by using coaxial cable at 8 million bits per second, compared to current telephone connections limited to 2.8 thousand bits per second.
