Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece reporting that Maine collected over $111 million in overdue child support in 2006, partly a result of increased restrictions on passports and hunting licenses for those who owe back child support. Stephen Hussey, director of state support enforcement efforts, expects an increase in collections next July when federal law will require a passport to cross into Canada.
