Abstract

"In Short." The Maine Department of Labor awarded a $29,000 grant to the Maine Association of Vocational Education Administrators to develop a Safety Certificate Program. It will teach schoolchildren about workplace health and safety. A third of work-related injuries in Maine involve employees with less that a year on the job, so prevention is increasingly important.
