Abstract

A day with Marty Perlmutter, a member of the Maine Department of Labor's Rapid Response Team, a free statewide early intervention program to help unemployed workers access assistance. He usually speaks at meetings held on company premises, and because most companies don't contact Rapid Response when they're downsizing, Perlmutter has to find them.
