Abstract

"Focus Real Estate/Construction/Design" piece on G-O Logic, a Belfast-based architecture and building firm with expertise in passive building. Passive homes are very well insulated and don't require the traditional central heating systems that are necessary in most Maine homes. Although more expensive to build, passive homes will save owners money due to their greatly reduced heating needs. G-O Logic is currently working on building 36 homes in a new cohousing community in Belfast and have designed and constructed the first passive dorm in North America at Unity College. With illustration outlining the different components of a passive home and sidebar about Belfast Cohousing and Ecovillage.
