Abstract

"Capitol Update" piece on how electronic tax filings are saving the state millions of dollars in staffing costs as well as in printing and postage costs. 80% of returns were filed electronically last year. However, since only four out of five Maine households have Internet access, paper returns will continue to be the only option for some.
