Abstract

"How to" piece on the "loss factor", that is, any area in a commercial building that is shared by tenants (such as common hallways, elevators, data closets, etc.) but still accounted for in the rent, and how to avoid misunderstandings between tenants and landlords on the issue of usable square footage vs. rentable square footage.
