Abstract

“On the Record” piece features an edited transcript of an interview with Matthew Qualey, named Maine’s Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration and owner of Qualey Granite & Quartz in Veazie. Qualey talks about the importance of the SBA-guaranteed loan through Bangor Savings Bank which enabled him to expand the business into a large new facility which houses the largest stone inventory north of Boston.
