Abstract

"Focus Eduction/Training" piece on Project>Login, a program which is under the aegis of Educate Maine and the Umaine System, that aims to double the number of yearly computer science/IT gradautes from 71 to 142. Project>Login's corporate sponsors would like to fill job openings in STEM fields with Maine talent, but often have to look outside the state. Tyler Technologies of Falmouth is one of the program's sponsors. In partnership with Project>Login, it offers summer internships to college students, showing students future career opportunities, allowing Tyler to find new talent, and also allowing company employees to develop leadership skills in their work as mentors to the interns.
