Abstract
“On the record” piece is an edited transcript of an interview with Jim Coen, the founder of the Maine Franchise Owners Association. He discusses MFOA’s plans to introduce amendments to LD 1458, the Maine Small Business Investment Protection Act, because he feels that there is not adequate protection for franchise owners under Maine law and that they are often at the mercy of the franchiser.
