Abstract
“Focus: International Trade” piece on Eimskip, the Icelandic shipping company with its U.S. port of call in Portland, along with an edited transcript of an interview with Larus Isfeld, managing director of Eimskip USA. Isfeld discusses how the business works in Norfolk, Va., how the first of year of business in Portland has gone, and what he hopes to see in the future. He also talks about working as a matchmaker to connect businesses in Maine with markets in Europe. With statistics about the state’s import-export trade with Iceland.
