11 Maine Hospitals Earn ‘A’ Grade in National Report

Abstract

Eleven of eighteen Maine hospitals assigned to the Leapfrog Group, an independent nonprofit organization representing employers and purchasers of health care, received an “A” grade, the highest score. They are Cary Medical Center, Central Maine General Hospital, Eastern Maine Medical Center, Franklin Memorial Hospital, Inland Hospital, Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, Mid Coast Hospital, Pen Bay Medical Center, SMHC Biddeford Medical Center, St. Mary’s Regional Center of Maine and York Hospital. Hospitals receiving “B” grades include Aroostook Medical Center, St. Joseph Hospital, Parkview Adventist Medical Center, and SMHC Sanford Medical,Center. Those receiving “C” grades include MaineGeneral Medical Center and Maine Medical Center.
