Abstract

Increased visitation to Acadia National Park, combined with a smaller budget, is putting a strain on this natural resource. Volunteers and private funding help make up the shortfall, but overall planning for for sustainability and fundraising is vital. The article includes a graph of Acadia National Park visitors form 1919-2014. Costs of operating the park are included as well. [images]
