Abstract

Colby College purchased the Hains building and the former Levine's clothing store in downtown Waterville with plans to convert the structures into venues that will help draw more energy and development into Waterville. It is a part of a decade-long effort to make Waterville a destination for arts and culture. It is also believed the development will attract students and college personnel into the downtown area and bridge the distance between the college and town. [image]
