Abstract

Two hundred and fifty local clam diggers have joined to gether to seed mudflats located in Pembroke and Perry with 350, 000 baby clams. It will take three to four years for the clams to fully mature, but diggers believe it is an investment in the future. Netting would increase clam survival rates by 60%, however diggers did not install nets at this time.
