Abstract

A Women to Watch piece that profiles Marcia Minter, co-founder and executive director of Indigo Arts Alliance. The lifelong creative professional worked as L.L. Bean's creative director for 16 years before founding, in 2019, Indigo Arts Alliance, a nonprofit arts incubator in Portland that supports the creative practices of Black and Brown artists of African descent. Minter's involvement with the arts scene in Maine includes serving as a board member of various arts organizations, including Portland Ovations and the Maine Arts Commission.
