Abstract

Central Square Times, first published by the Deering Center Neighborhood Association and then by Dickinson Publications, Inc., was a free monthly publication (with the exception of four issues published twice a month in April and May of 1993) that focused on the events, businesses, stories, and local history of the Deering Center neighborhood. It also produced stories regarding Portland’s arts scene, more general events, and family health. In April 1996, the Central Square Times combined with FamilyHealth: Greater Portland’s Good Health Magazine in a 24 page flip-style format.

The holdings at Portland Public Library begin with the first issue, July 1991 and conclude with the March 1997. It is not a complete run.

A list of contents of these publications is in the attached file.
