Abstract
Article on a proposal to create a special business court, suggesting that such a court would be business-friendly at the expense of consumers. Rep. John Richardson, D-Brunswick, proposed the court in an effort to free up the state's crowded legal system and to support "a vibrant business atmosphere." Supported by the business and legal communities, some observers fear the courts might put too much power in the hands of special interests.
