Abstract
"This Just In" piece on the privatization of the state's wholesale liquor business, calculating the lost revenues to the state over the 10-year term of the deal. Liquor sales and the number of agency liquor stores have both increased in the past year since Maine Beverage Company took over liquor operations. Even with a conservative growth estimate, the state stands to lose up to $175 million over 10 years.
