Abstract
"This Just In" piece with an interview in question-and-answer format with the original Valentine Phantom, who remains anonymous. The phantom claims to have started the tradition of hanging cut-out red hearts in Portland on Valentine's morning in 1976. An earlier article reported that Carol Schiller, a Portland city council candidate, was the original Valentine Phantom.
