Abstract
Brief article comparing Portland's Old Port to other cities in New England in terms of population, numbers of police officers, liquor licenses and arrests. The comparison, which shows Portland in the middle of the pack, is made in response to last month's Portland City Council decision limiting the number of bars and clubs in the Old Port.
