Abstract

"This just in" piece on the Portland City Council's decision to return a question on a new skateboard park to the Health and Recreation Committee. District 4 councilor Cheryl Leeman asked that the council set a specific date to revisit the question, which has been in process since 2005. The issue involves the choice between a site on Preble Street Extension or Dougherty Field as well as some neighborhood resistance to the presence of a park.
