Abstract
"Art" piece with a review of "Katahdin: The Lake and Her Artists," the current exhibit at Jameson Gallery in Portland. Over the last couple of years there has been a successful effort to find funds to acquire a 4,000-acre parcel of land that includes Katahdin Lake and to make it part of Baxter State Park. A group of artists were deeply involved in this project, and this is one of two group shows by these artists to commemorate the event. The show includes works by Chris Huntington, David Little, Marsha Donahue, and Chris Polson.
