Abstract
"this just in" piece on biodiesel fuel, a soy-based fuel that is compatible with standard diesel engines. The Downeast Biodiesel Co-op, based in Blue Hill, meets this month for the first time. Biodiesel advocate and co-op organizer Andrea DeFrancesco says the group will pay $1.98 per gallon, including delivery from Massachusetts. Solar Market, a biodiesel dealer in Arundel, sells the fuel for $2.45 a gallon.
