Abstract

"Chowder" piece on a recent auction at the Cyr Auction Gallery in Gray, which raised more than $500,000 toward a University of Maine scholarship program resulting from the sale of the many estate artworks of the Volk family of Kezar Lake. A small black-and-white illustration of pirates by Howard Pyle brought $57,000 at the auction.
