Abstract

"Getaways" piece on a week spent by the author and a friend in an apartment in the keeper's home at the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, south of Damarascotta. The town of Bristol owns the government-issue unit, which rents for $950 per week in season and $700 per month from mid-October to mid-May.
