Abstract

A look at the connection of the wealthy Woolworth family to Maine, where three generations have vacationed at the family compound, Clear View Farm, in Winthrop. With a profile of five-and-dime heiress Kingsley Woolworth, 26, who divides her time between Maine and Manhattan. Her father, Robert Frederick Woolworth, a retired art dealer, once represented Maine artists Andrew and Jamie Wyeth. Her great-great grandfather bought the estate in the 1920s, which then consisted of about 2,000 acres and 15 different homes. Today the estate is about 1,000 acres.
